This record was the first of 7 for Pablo Cruise. The album was produced by Michael James Jackson who was a staff producer at A&M records, the band's label. Grammy Award winning Engineer Al Schmitt recorded and mixed this first effort by Pablo and although there wasn't a top ten hit, the record did well enough at album oriented radio to establish Pablo Cruise as a band to watch. The cut "Ocean Breeze," which is 12 minutes long, became a mainstay at FM radio and "Island Woman" was a bona fide smash in the Hawaiian Islands. Pablo Cruise's first tour was with Cheech and Chong! |
